Auto burglary suspects arrested
Submitted By Sgt. Raj Maharaj, Milpitas Police Department
On February 12, 2010 at about 12:51 a.m., an Officer's attention was drawn to a parked vehicle in the parking lot of Cardoza Park, in the vicinity of 1300(B) Kennedy Drive. On checking the vehicle, the Officer saw two suspects, later identified as 20-year-old Fidel Torres and 19-year-old Jonathan Alonzo, hiding nearby. Both were wearing dark clothes and in possession of burglary tools.
Officers located the suspects' vehicle parked nearby and found stolen property inside. Further investigation revealed the suspects were about to burgle the parked vehicle in Cardoza Park but the Officer had interrupted them. Officers discovered the suspects had burgled other vehicles, earlier in the evening, in Milpitas and San Jose. Both were booked at the Santa Clara County jail for burglary, conspiracy and possession of burglary tools.
Anyone with any information regarding any suspicious or criminal activity involving these two suspects is encouraged to call Milpitas Police Department.
