Thursday, January 28 Officers responded to the area of Bulmer and Marsten Street to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle, possibly involved in drug activity. Upon arrival, the officers observed a male suspect walking in the area. This suspect began walking away once he saw the officers. As the officers attempted contact, the suspect ran across Union City Blvd. The officers gave chase and caught him in front of the Sports Center. The suspect was in possession of cocaine for sale. He went to jail.
Friday January 29 Officers investigated a robbery that occurred in the area of Willow Lane. In this case, a pedestrian was walking home from work when he was robbed of his backpack at knifepoint by unknown suspects. This case is under investigation.
Sunday, January 31 Officers investigated a robbery that occurred at the OO Liquor store on Whipple Road. In this case, two black male suspects walked in brandishing handguns and demanded money. The suspects then ran in an unknown direction. This case is under investigation.
Sunday evening, officers investigated a robbery that occurred at the Guadalajara Supermarket on 10th Street. In this case, two black male suspects walked in brandishing handguns and demanded cash. The suspects then fled on foot in an unknown direction. This case is under investigation.
Tuesday, February 2 Officers responded to the area of Decoto Road and Alvarado-Niles Road on a report of male juvenile with a gun. Upon arrival, officers located two black male juvenile suspects matching the description. One was in possession of a BB gun that resembled a real handgun. He was arrested and released to his parents on a notice to appear. |
