Accidental shooting in Milpitas

On Sunday, January 31 at approximately 3:23 p.m., Milpitas police officers responded to Target Masters indoor shooting range on a report of a person being shot. The preliminary investigation revealed a 48 year-old female, who is a San Jose resident, may have mishandled a firearm and it accidentally discharged. The woman was shot in the torso and transported to a local hospital for treatment. The woman is expected to survive and there were no other reported injuries.
