Washington Hospital's Winter/Spring 2010 Catalog Now Available

Health and Wellness Catalog Lists a Variety of Free Classes and Screenings

Washington Hospital's latest biannual Health & Wellness Catalog is now available. The free catalog is a great tool for navigating the large amount of useful classes and programs offered by your local community hospital. The Health & Wellness catalog includes a six month pin-up calendar for easy reference and the catalog is now printed on recycled paper containing a minimum of 30 percent post-consumer fiber.

The Health & Wellness Catalog contains a complete list of upcoming classes from January through June 2010. The catalog also serves as a helpful resource for taking full advantage of your community hospital's other community services and top-notch medical programs.

Inside the new catalog you will find:
* A list of free community classes and seminars
* A complete list of Women's Health classes and programs offered through the Washington Women's Center
* Community services, such as the Washington Community Health Resource Library and Washington on Wheels (W.O.W) Mobile Health Clinic
* Health & Wellness education classes focusing on nutrition counseling, diabetes self management, stroke education and cardiac rehabilitation

On the back of the catalog you'll find a section highlighting Washington Hospital's Breast Health Program. The program recently earned a prestigious accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). The Breast Health Program is the only program in Northern California to hold this accreditation.

The winter/spring portion of the year offers a variety of classes - from learning how to prevent congestive heart failure to new surgical techniques for hip pain. In March, the Hospital will conduct a health and wellness seminar on chronic kidney disease and three health insurance seminars will take place in February, April and June.
