Kidango opens a new center

Submitted By Paul Miller

Kidango, a local children's organization, announced today that it began providing services at its newest child development center; the Kidango Amador Child Development Center located at 24100 Amador Street in Hayward. It is located within the Alameda County Eden Area Self-Sufficiency Center. Through collaboration with the County of Alameda, Kidango was able to secure the space needed to provide child care and full day preschool programs to 81 children, ages birth through 5 years old.

Kidango's credentialed, professional and caring teaching staff will provide quality early education programs and nurturing child care. Tamarra Barrett, Kidango Amador Center Director, will lead the Center's educational team. Barrett brings with her sixteen years of experience in the field of early education, eight of which she has spent with Kidango. Barrett has a Bachelor's Degree from California State University, Sacramento, is CPR and First Aid Certified and is highly regarded by children, parents and colleagues alike. "I am excited to be working with new families and look forward to providing children with the educational experiences they need to be prepared for Kindergarten and beyond!," said Barrett.

Kidango has 30 years of experience in child development and its preschool programs promote social-emotional growth, cognitive development and hands-on learning so children are well-prepared for Kindergarten and future life success. The Amador Center has learning areas that were specifically designed to create stimulating, attractive and functional spaces so that all children have the opportunity to learn through play. The learning environment is licensed by Community Care Licensing and provides a safe and home-like setting, while the curriculum is designed to fit each child's specific needs and interests.

Enrollment is open to the general public and parents looking for a strong child care or preschool program are encouraged to call Kidango at 1-(800)-262-4252 to set up a facility tour or an enrollment appointment. Spots will fill up quickly at the Kidango Amador Center, so parents are encouraged to call today!

Kidango will host an open house and ribbon cutting early this year and will keep the community informed of all upcoming events. Kidango is excited to have a new location and looks forward to providing families with a safe and educational program.
