December 9, 2009 > Senior Center project update Senior Center project update By Dustin Findley Construction activities presented to City Council on December 1 by Project Manager Steve Erickson include continuing interior wall and ceiling framing, installation of store front window systems, installation and placement of drywall taping, installation of metal roofing and gutters, exterior lath and plaster work, installation of rough electrical, mechanical and fire sprinkler systems, installation of columns for canopies and bases for flag poles. The project has a 20-day rain allowance. The contractor constructing the senior center had used six by the time of the council meeting. The total budget for the project is $13.18M. Expenditures to date are $5,036,670. Unencumbered funds remaining to complete the project are just over $3.6M. The project is within budget, on schedule and 61 percent complete, as of December 1.
