Energy efficiency funding for residents

"The California First program would provide access to energy-efficiency funding to residential property owners," Diana Barnhart, Milpitas Economic Development Manager, told City Council.
It is a program of the California Statewide Communities Development Authority (CSCDA), also known as California Communities, a joint powers authority formed by the California State Association of counties and the League of California Cities.
Santa Clara County has been selected as part of a pilot program. California Communities requested the City confirm its interest with a letter of commitment from City Manager Tom Williams by November 20.
"As it moves forward, our residents would be able to work directly with the California First program which would be administered at county level for energy-efficiency programs for their homes," said Barnhart. |
