Ohlone College Science Seminar
Submitted By Gosia Gizycki
From the training hill to big mountains, big air and big miles, today's hang glider instruments have GPS systems and record flight tracks that can be displayed by many programs, including Google Earth. Learn a bit of the physics behind these beautiful soaring machines from Aeronautical Engineer and Hand Glider Karl Allmendinger. Allmendinger will show still pictures, videos and flight tracks that new hang glider pilots make off the training hill, as well as longer and higher flights. His personal glider will be on display in the auditorium during the talk.
