November 18, 2009 > Lawrence and Emiline Rose, 78 years of wedded bliss Lawrence and Emiline Rose, 78 years of wedded bliss Submitted By David Rose November is always a special month for Lawrence and Emiline Rose. This November is even more special because it marks the couple's 78th wedding anniversary and Lawrence's 100th birthday! Lawrence and Emiline, both natives of the area, attended school and were married in Fremont. They owned and operated Sunrise Bakery in Centerville from 1937 to 1955, then moved to Newark and operated at that location until 1974. Over 70 friends and relatives gathered at El Patio in Fremont on November 7 to celebrate the Rose's two landmark events. Five generations of the Rose family, including sister-in-law Mary Rose, son David, daughters Emiline Souza and Patricia Goodwin, nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews were present for the festivities. It was a time to celebrate family and to be thankful for their many blessings.
