Making homemade hummus with Chef Suzanne
Submitted By Melanie McInerney
Cookbook author and international chef Suzanne Vandyck invites you to a Mediterranean afternoon at the Milpitas Library on Sunday, November 15 at 3 p.m., where she will demonstrate how to make homemade hummus. Both a health food and creamy party dip, this exotic spread from the Middle East is high in fiber, vitamin C and folate, and is a good source of protein, but contains no cholesterol. Participants will be provided samples of hummus on pita bread, as well as recipes so you can make your own fresh hummus at home. This free program is presented through the generous support of the Friends of the Milpitas Library. The library is located at 160 N. Main St., Milpitas. For directions or more information call (408) 262-1171 ext. 3616.
