New police officer hired

Milpitas Police Department is pleased to announce the appointment of Police Officer Tyler Jamison.
Jamison was raised in Vacaville, California, and wrestled as a senior in high school, going to the state championships and placing second in both the Greco-Roman and freestyle categories. He graduated cum laude from California State University, Sacramento, earning a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.
After college Jamison worked for the Sacramento County Probation Department and gained a Master's degree in Criminology from the University of California, Irvine. Most recently, he served as a deputy sheriff with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.
Jamison was sworn in as a City of Milpitas Police Officer by Chief of Police Dennis Graham on October 13, in the presence of his parents, family members, City Council Member Debbie Giordano, City Manager Tom Williams and department personnel. |
