Presented by Milpitas Rainbow Theatre

Something is amiss in Mother Gooseland. The wicked Barnaby is threatening Widow Piper with eviction unless her daughter Mistress Mary Quite Contrary marries him. Victor Herbert's classic "Babes in Toyland" (book by R.J. Ryland music and lyrics by Bill Francoeur) is the perfect beginning for the holiday season. Meet some of Mother Gooseland's favorite characters like the Widow Piper, sweet Mistress Mary Quite Contrary, Jack and Jill, Goldilocks and Little Bo Peep.

Come see if the evil Barnaby can rid himself of his nephew Alan with the help of his sidekicks Gozorgo and Roderigo. Dare to cross Spider Forest to reach the enchanted toy shop of the Master Toymaker. With musical favorites "March of the Toy Soldiers" and "Toyland " it will delight both the young and old. Join your favorite childhood characters on an adventure through the Spider Forest until they reach the magical Toyland, where toys come to life.

Tickets can be purchased at the Milpitas Community Center or at the door, half an hour before the show.
