Baby stuff drive
Submitted By Jerry Fontanares
Child Advocates is launching a drive for baby clothes and baby-care items to support Family Wellness Court whose clients consist of families, struggling with substance abuse, with children ages zero to three years.
Based in Milpitas, Child Advocates of Silicon Valley is a beacon of hope for kids with no-one else to whom they can turn. The non-profit organization makes a life-long difference for abused and neglected children by serving as mentors and court-appointed Special Advocates. The court assists parents in accessing substance-abuse treatment and ensures their children receive services to improve their well-being.
Baby clothes (sizes newborn- 4T), diapers (all sizes), baby wipes, diaper bags, bibs, booties, socks, hygiene items, bottles and formula are welcome. Donated items can be delivered to the Child Advocates office in Milpitas through October 30.
Checks may also be sent to Child Advocates, referencing the "baby drive," and the organization will make the purchases on the donor's behalf.
