Milpitas tennis moves to 9-1

Mission San Jose shut out James Logan 7-0 on Tuesday Oct. 20. Mission gave up two sets as a team. The Warriors also defeated John F. Kennedy, 7-0.
Moreau Catholic beat Hayward, 5-2, in its early week match. The Mariners' doubles teams showed their strength as only one Moreau Catholic singles player earned a victory. The Mariners lost to Bishop O'Dowd, 5-2, on October 22. Its singles' teams struggled again as number one singles player Jana Lee was the only one to collect a win. Moreau Catholic moves to 7-6 in the Hayward Area Athletic League.
Milpitas shut out Fremont (Sunnyvale) High, 7-0, in its early-week match. Milpitas dropped one match against Cupertino and won 6-1. Milpitas is now 9-1 overall.
Irvington traveled to American High and beat the Eagles 5-2. Irvington lost to James Logan 3-4 later in the week. Irvington is now 5-4 overall. |
