Make a world of difference

Submitted By Leah Facun

Making a difference is not just a scheduled event but a moment at any time when people find it in their hearts to do something good, to care, to share or contribute voluntarily to another individual, community or society.

We encourage everyone... individuals and community groups and organizations (churches, schools, businesses) to join us in this collaborative effort of maintaining the best health and quality of life of our community's residents.

What's happening? What's being done? What else can be done? What can you do to be part of the solution?

More than ever, this is the time for us to work together and support one another. We encourage you and your group to participate to help make a difference in your neighborhood and our communities.

Examples of activities that make a difference include creating or organizing a cleaning day at home and in the neighborhood or a one-day drive for food, clothing, etc. For more ideas and information, visit www.makeadifferenceday.com.

We love the Bay Area and especially our own community. In Milpitas, the spirit of caring, giving and sharing is so evident.

We urgently need to do something to maintain the total wellness of each individual and family in our communities. Join our community collaborative effort to raise awareness of our needs and share information and resources for remedies and solutions. Encourage your friends and neighbors to join us.

If you are already doing something that makes a positive impact, let us know so we can acknowledge and, if needed, help promote your cause.

It is time to realize our true potential and to experience total wellness in every facet of our lives to maintain our communities' quality of life. It is time for each of us to care more, to shine and to carry the light of hope everywhere.

Now is the time we need each other most, to work together and join hands in mutual support to make a difference.

Thank you in advance for caring and for helping make our world a better place.
