October 21, 2009 > Painting classes
The Fremont Art Association (FAA) will be offering painting classes by renowned artist, Laura Williams. Williams's paintings have often been described as peaceful and serene. This assessment describes the fundamental reason why she paints. She is truly inspired by the peace and serenity of the natural world that surrounds us.
These classes are designed to advance beginning and intermediate students in their painting by learning techniques that push composition, design, brushwork, balance, harmony, asymmetry, value, light, aerial perspective and color. Students will explore the beauty of painting with enlightening slide presentations, demonstrations and exciting exercises designed to rev up your brush work and revitalize your composition. Williams's individual attention to students provides a basis for developing visual awareness and artistic self-expression.
Wednesday, October 28
In-depth exploration of design and composition, the most important element in any painting. Guiding your viewer, rhythmic linear movement from side to side, compositional schemes as described by Edgar Payne, and things to avoid.
Wednesday, November 11
