October 21, 2009 > A 'frightful ride' for Meals on Wheels A 'frightful ride' for Meals on Wheels Submitted By Barbara Proctor Alameda County Meals on Wheels hosted its inaugural Wheels for Meals ride October 17 through Livermore Valley. A 15 mile ride for families and riders included a refreshment station stop that featured frightful Halloween attendants from the Tri-City Meals on Wheels contingent. Riders were greeted by these-creatures that turned out to be friendly at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Livermore and all were able to pedal away safely to complete their ride.
