Chabot men's soccer could not stop a relentless Canada College as it lost 7-0 on September 29. Later on October 2, Hartnell College of Salinas handed Chabot its fourth loss in a row, 7-0. The men drop to 2-5-2 overall and 0-3 in league play. The team plays De Anza on October 6 at home and City College of San Francisco on October 9.
Cabrillo College only needed two goals to defeat the Chabot women's soccer, 2-1. But the Lady Gladiators were able to bounce back and earned their second shutout of the season with a 6-0 victory against Mission College. Chabot is now 3-7-1 overall and 2-2-0 in conference play. The women's next game is against Evergreen on October 9.
The women's volleyball team continued its winning ways against College of Marin on September 29. The Lady Gladiators beat Marin in three sets, 25-23, 25-15 and 25-22. Sara Snow led us with 13 kills and 12 digs.
The ladies won again the next day against Yuba College in straight sets, 25-18, 25-19 and 25-15. Tootsie Aliifua, Amanda Meyer, Christa Hicks and Snow all led the team with eight kills.
Chabot went on to win their 10th match of the season against cross-town opponents Ohlone 25-23, 25-23 and 26-24. They have two home games this week against San Jose City on October 7 and Skyline on October 9.
Chabot's gridiron team, who won their first game and have since dropped three straight, had a bye this past week. They will resume play at home against College of the Redwoods on October 10 at 1 p.m.
