Castro Valley VFW Post holds recognition dinner

VFW Post 9601 in Castro Valley will be holding a special dinner to recognize and honor the following heroic individuals: Engineer/Paramedic, Brian Sheehan, Battalion chief, John Walsh of Castro Valley F.D., Deputy Rolando Eijansantos and Deputy Derek Pope, both from the Alameda County Sheriff's Department.
The dinner will be held on Tuesday, October 13 at the Castro Valley Moose Lodge. Cocktails will be at 6 p.m., followed by a spaghetti dinner at 6:30 p.m. All veterans are free of charge. All non-veterans who attend are requested to pay a minimum donation of $5 for dinner.
