October 7, 2009 > California Writers Week Open Mic California Writers Week Open Mic Submitted By Art Carey Fremont Area Writers, a chapter of the California Writers Club, will mark California Writers Week with an Open Mic on Thursday, October 15. Readings by writers will be given from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 3900 Mowry Ave., in Fremont Plaza in Fremont. Aspiring writers get five to ten minutes to read portions of their work to a live audience. Open Mic sessions are free and open to the public.
