Air District seeks public input
Submitted By Kristine Roselius
The Bay Area Air Quality Management District, the regional agency chartered with protecting air quality in the Bay Area, is conducting three workshops on September 8, 9 and 10, 2009, to seek public input on proposed updates to its California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines.
The CEQA Guidelines document provides guidance to public agencies, consultants and stakeholders in evaluating the air quality impacts and assessing mitigation measures for proposed projects and plans in the Bay Area. The proposed updates to the document include recommended thresholds of significance for criteria pollutants, toxic pollutants, odors and greenhouse gases. The document was last updated in 1999.
Workshop materials will be posted on the Air District website at http://tinyurl.com/lrw95t. One of the workshops will be held in Alameda County
Thursday, September 10, 2009 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Oakland Main Library West Auditorium 125 14th Street, Oakland
