On September 16 the Community Coffee House at 1000 South Park Victoria Drive, Milpitas, will host Bay Area novelist Ken Yoder Reed
The event is titled "Menno Night" since Reed writes about the Mennonite/Amish community where he spent his boyhood and youth.
The evening will feature an interview with Matt Stallings, the Coffee House manager, and Reed will read selections from his new novel, He Flew Too High.
Menno Night will also include several musical solos by Eddie M., well-known saxophonist (tours with Aretha Franklin, Beyonce, Prince, and Acoustic Alchemy), complimentary Amish moon pies and a kids craft booth run by Michaela Rodriguez, who comes dressed in a 1950s Mennonite costume.
