Academy of Art University (San Francisco) Head Coach Lindsey Yamasaki has announced the signing of freshman Danielle Robledo (Newark Memorial High School) to her 2009-10 roster.
As a freshman at Newark Memorial High School, Robledo earned All-League honorable mention in the Mission Valley Athletic League (MVAL). During her sophomore, junior and senior year, Robledo was team captain; earned team MVP honors; and was selected First Team All-MVAL.
Robledo scored 1,384 points during her high school career. And she holds the school record for 3-pointers made with 275 in four seasons.
Last season Robledo helped lead the Cougars to a 20-9 overall record as the team finished first in the MVAL with a record of 10-2. She finished the 2008-09 season averaging 14.6 points per game.
"Danielle is a phenomenal shooter that can launch from NBA three-point range," said Head Coach Lindsey Yamasaki. "She will be a very steady player for our team: She has a great attitude and an innate competitiveness about her." |
