The Milpitas Chamber and Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Silicon Valley have joined together to present another exciting Milpitas Business Forum Luncheon on Thursday, September 3, at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 901 E. Calaveras Boulevard, Milpitas. The guest speaker, Carl Guardino, President and CEO of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, will present "Challenges Facing Silicon Valley-the Future."
Carl Guardino, one of Silicon Valley's most distinguished business and community leaders, is the president and CEO of a public policy trade association that represents more than 285 of Silicon Valley's most respected companies. In February 2007, Governor Schwarzenegger appointed Guardino to a four-year term on the California Transportation Commission. He also serves on numerous other boards and is actively involved in a wide range of community organizations and projects. In 2000, the San Jose Mercury News named Carl Guardino one of the "Five Most Powerful" people in Silicon Valley in a once-per-decade study.
The forum will begin with a networking reception from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by the luncheon program, and 1 p.m. adjournment. The cost is $19 for members of the Milpitas Chamber of Commerce and $24 for non-members. Please call the chamber at (408) 262-2613 to make your reservations.
