Introduced an emergency resolution opposing state appropriations, which could amount to $6M for the City of Hayward, to balance the state budget. The matter will be brought back to the Council in September.
Consent Calendar Delinquent residential rental inspection fees for the 2008 calendar year, amounting to $71,680.45 against 46 properties, will be become special assessments against the properties and added to the property owners' Nov 2009 tax bills plus administration costs to the City of Hayward and Alameda County if unpaid as of close of business on July 25.
Delinquent community preservation fees for the 2008 calendar year, amounting to $69,088 against 95 properties, will be become special assessments against the properties and be added to the property owners' Nov 2009 tax bills plus administration costs to the City of Hayward and Alameda County if unpaid as of close of business on July 25.
Adopted Positions and Salaries Schedule for FY 2010 and amended FY 2010 Allocated Positions. The Positions and Salaries Schedule lists all positions, by department, allocated by Council for the current fiscal year and salaries.
Public Hearing Delinquent vehicle abatement fees for the 2008 calendar year, amounting to $8,594 (including contractor costs) against 10 properties, will be become special assessments against the properties and be added to the property owners' Nov 2009 tax bills plus administration costs to the City of Hayward and Alameda County if unpaid as of close of business on July 25. There were no public objections.
Water and sewer rates set for Oct 1, 2009 and Oct 1, 2010. Average single-family residential customers will see annual increases of 14%, or $58 and $66.20 payable bi-monthly.
