4th of July celebrations

The sale, possession and use of all fireworks are banned within the City of Fremont. This ban includes the "safe and sane" variety of fireworks that are legal in some other cities.

Fremont's annual salute to our national Independence Day will be held in the Warm Springs district this year. There will be floats galore, participation from community groups, marching bands, entertainment and refreshments. An "after parade" event will be held with some stage performances.

Coyote Hills
In celebration of the holiday, play old-fashioned games such as: sack races, egg relays, tug-of-war, kick-the can, and other exciting activities. Bring a picnic lunch and join in the fun!

Old Fashioned Independence Day
Join this fun-filled community festival, 1900 style! Celebrate by listening to patriotic music from a brass band and fiddle music in the farmyard. There will be games, contests, all day long. Participate in an egg toss or with watermelon seed spitting and tug-of-war contests. Bring a picnic lunch and spend the day.
Fee: $8/adults, $6/seniors (62+), $5 children (4-17), under 4 years free. Parking is free.

Pancake breakfast, carnival, food booth, games and contests. Live patriotic music and the colors will be presented by the Boy Scouts. Sponsored by the City of Hayward, South Hayward Lions Club and the Hayward Area Recreation and Parks District
Pancake breakfast 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. free to veterans and senior citizens, donation accepted for others. Carnival: 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Fireworks are illegal in the city of Milpitas. No alcohol, glass containers or dogs/animals are allowed at these events. No tailgate parties are allowed in the parking lot.

Pool Party, Concert and Fireworks
The city of Milpitas celebrates Independence Day at the Milpitas Sports Center.

Pool Party: 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. at Milpitas Sports Center Pool
Music, games, lots of fun activities. BBQ lunch available for purchase from the Milpitas Firefighters local, benefiting R.A.P. Space may be limited at times due to pool capacity.

Concert and Fireworks: 8 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Milpitas Sports Center Football Field. Enjoy an evening of music by JamFunkShus topped by a fireworks display. Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy the fireworks beginning at

Firehouse Pancake Breakfast
Proceeds from the Pancake Breakfast benefit Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Newark Firefighters Charitable Fund. Other activities include fire operations demonstrations, an antique fire apparatus, classic cars, kid's activity corner and prize raffles. Hosted by Newark Firefighters Association Local 1483.
Sponsors include IHOP, Starbucks and the Tri-City Voice.

The event will include the dedication of 8 flag poles and the raising of flags to honor each branch of the service.
