Alameda County Library News: Summer Reading Game theme is "Be Creative"

Newark Library Free Children's Programs
You can do it! Come in and sign up for the Reading Game to win prizes. Get ideas from our blog at http://summereadingame.com. Stop by to enjoy our shows too. Most performances will be in the open space of the Children's area unless otherwise stated.
Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 2 p.m. - Miss Christie of Christie's Creative Cupboard will lead us in a swimmingly good craft decorating fish
Wednesday, July 15 at 10 a.m. & Thursday, July 16 at 1 p.m. - Harry Potter Movie Marathon #1-5.
Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 11 a.m. - Learn dance techniques with Ami
Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 2 p.m. - Crafts: making mudcups and a frog
Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 7 p.m. - Family Storytime at the Park
Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 2 p.m. - Gary Lapow of TV fame will be leading us in songs created just for us
If your child is 7 years old or older, think about letting them come to our Kids' Art Camp. Registration for this program began on May 26, the program will be held on Tuesdays or Fridays from mid-June through July.
Programs are funded by Newark Library League, the Alameda County Library System, S.F. Giants and ORACLE, Lawrence Hall of Science, Charles M. Schulz Museum, and Scholastic Books.
Don't forget, we have a Teen Reading Game and one for adults as well!
