Rabbi Avi Schulman of Temple Beth Torah in Fremont was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree honoris causa, in Los Angeles on May 18. The Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion awarded the degree on the 25th anniversary of Schulman's ordination in recognition of his distinguished service to the Jewish community. |
