Letter to the Editor: Neighborhood music school is 'not acceptable'

I am writing in regards to the ongoing discussion about a proposed concert hall at 4600 Nelson Avenue [Fremont]. I would like to add my opinion.

I believe that if the City of Fremont allows a public concert hall to operate in a residential area, it would open a "Pandora's Box." If one group is allowed to open a concert hall then the city would have to allow other such neighborhood concert halls (i.e. Rock & Roll, Country Western, Hip-Hop, etc.). To allow one ethnic group to have a concert hall and deny others would be racist.

A public concert hall of any type is not acceptable in a residential area of Fremont.
