May 6, 2009 > Environmental grants awarded Environmental grants awarded Alpha Delta Kappa, an international sorority for women educators, named the Newark teachers awarded 2008-09 mini-grants for school projects to enhance the environment. Winning projects included recycling, the study of owl pellets and studying the life cycle of plants. The winners are Gretchen Cava and Eileen Weeks from Kennedy School and Delight Evans Vasquez and Arlene Paxton from Graham School.
