May 6, 2009 > Step Out Walk & Health Faire Step Out Walk & Health Faire Submitted By Larry Orozco Union City is sponsoring its "11th Annual Step Out Walk & Health Faire" on Saturday, May 9. The event begins with registration at 8:30 a.m., warm-ups at 9, followed by a 1.5-mile fitness walk from Ruggieri Senior Center, up Alvarado-Niles Road, along the Alameda Creek trail, and returning to the Senior Center. Indoor activities include entertainment, local businesses and community organizations. There will be informational booths and handouts on asthma management, fall prevention, osteoporosis, diabetes, heart disease and reducing obesity. Light refreshments will be provided.
