April 29, 2009 > Washington Hospital Healthcare Foundation Golf Tournament Washington Hospital Healthcare Foundation Golf Tournament Submitted By Amanda Loza The Washington Hospital Healthcare Foundation will hold its 24th Annual Golf Tournament on May 18th at Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton. The tournament brings together friends of Washington Hospital and local golfers to raise funds for local hospice care and cancer services at Washington Hospital. Last year's tournament was a great success and raised a record breaking amount of over $74,000. This year's fundraiser will feature a barbeque lunch, driving range, putting contest, silent auction, buffet dinner, raffle, and awards ceremony. Last year, approximately 220 golfers enjoyed a spectacular day of golf with beautiful weather and more than 250 guests enjoyed the dinner and raffle that evening. The 24th Annual Golf Tournament will be held once again in memory of longtime businessman Gene Angelo Pessagno. Mr. Pessagno was a founding member of the Washington Hospital Healthcare Foundation and served as a member of the Foundation's Board of Trustees.
