The economic crisis has caused a high demand for tuition assistance along with more limited funding, creating an unprecedented challenge for Dollars for Scholars to continue its mission. Students in need of tuition assistance - as well as residents and businesses wishing to contribute or learn more - can visit www.fremontbusiness.com/commScholarship.htm for details. Applications must be postmarked by April 15. The Chamber's Leadership Fremont Class of 2009 has teamed with the Fremont Chapter of Dollars for Scholars to raise awareness and funding. Leadership Fremont representatives will be at a number of upcoming events seeking community support.
