There will be a gospel concert, featuring a roller skating performance, on Sunday, March 15, at the Milpitas Public Library. Reggie Dickerson will be performing as both a singer and the skater with the Flames of Fire, including the Byrd Sisters. It will be their second gospel concert, with "influential singers there" according to Reggie. Reggie wants to make the community more aware about skating. Reggie is the promotional manager at Cal Skate Milpitas. He takes care of the entertainment for the kids, one of the entertainers, and also teaches. "I teach people how to skate safely, without hurting themselves" Reggie said. He has been at Cal Skate Milpitas for 20 years now, working to build it, and "now skating with teenagers in (the) Oakland Richmond San Francisco area is a big deal" Dickerson said. The kids come to Cal Skate to have a good time. Reggie will show that skating is not only recreation, but also a form of entertainment, on March 15. "A lot of people don't know that they can do what they love and make it... really make it. So we need to let the world know that there are answers to their prayers" Reggie said.
