Gas bills lower than last year
Submitted By Tamar Sarkissian
Pacific Gas and Electric Company customers can expect to pay significantly less for natural gas this month than in February of last year. The average residential gas bill is expected to be $74.44, about 26 percent less than February 2008.
Natural gas prices tend to be relatively high in winter months, but high storage levels nationwide, abundant supply in the Rockies and Mid-continent, and lackluster industrial demand have recently placed downward pressure on prices.
