February 18, 2009 > Honk if you need bucks Honk if you need bucks Calling all nonprofit agencies! Are you swimming in debt? Having trouble paying your bills? Getting by on a wing and a prayer? Tri-City nonprofit agencies, service organizations and schools are invited to flock to a "Quackers and Cheese Party" and learn how to raise money to support their community services. The 15th annual Ducks for Bucks benefit race, organized by the Kiwanis Club of Fremont, will be at Lake Elizabeth on April 25. Local nonprofits can sell duck "adoption papers" at no cost to the organization. Last year 32 groups raised more than $21,000.
