Celebrate Newark's 35th Annual Black History Observance with a full day of exhibits and activities Saturday, Feb 14.
From 9:30-11:30 a.m. "Quest for Black Citizenship in the Americas" will offer a complimentary breakfast; health and wellness seminar, resource speakers, and Lillian Litzsey et al. Visit the college and university fair, various vendors, Fashions by Nana from Ghana, and soul food stations from noon to 8 p.m.
Jennifer King will be the keynote speaker at 3 p.m.
Throughout the day be prepared for a black history competition for grades 6-9, an Obama tee shirt competition for all ages, reflections from attending the inauguration, and a variety of entertainers.
