January 14, 2009 > Newark City Council, January 8, 2009 Newark City Council, January 8, 2009 Ordinance to amend Newark Municipal Code, Title 15, Chapter 15.12 The City of Newark has the opportunity to make limited amendments to the 2007 Edition of the California Electrical Code, recently adopted by the State of California; the City must first adopt the code. The City's proposed amendments are the same that were adopted by the City Council for the 2004 Edition. Mayor David W. Smith - Yes Vice Mayor Alan L. Nagy - Yes Ana M. Apodaca - Yes Luis L. Huezo - Yes Authorization for Funding Agreement and contract regarding area surrounding proposed Dumbarton Rail Station Allows the Mayor to sign a Funding Agreement with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and a contract with the Dahlin Group to complete a Specific Plan for the area surrounding the proposed Dumbarton Rail Station. Huezo - Yes Acceptance of Preliminary Plan for proposed Newark Redevelopment Project No. 2 The proposed Preliminary Plan would not include Eminent Domain powers for the Redevelopment Agency, while the City will retain such powers.
