Bicycling Training Classes for Women
Submitted By Cindy Maxwell
The Fremont Freewheelers Bicycle Club (FFBC) announces a bicycling training opportunity for women called the Cinderella Training Series. Women of all riding levels, from beginning to experienced riders, are invited to enroll.
Beginning riders will learn to ride in a group and complete a 100 km (62 mile) route. More advanced riders will train to complete a century ride of 100 miles. The training series will build students' strength, endurance, confidence, and riding and mechanical skills with encouragement and tips from other women.
Classes are every Saturday, from January 17 to March 28. The training series begins with an orientation and bike check followed by ten group rides. Students ride in small groups of ten to 15 students with at least two ride leaders.
More information about the training series is available online at www.ffbc.org/cinderella2009.html . For additional questions, contact Bernadette Lopes at blopes25@yahoo.com or (510) 841-3319. |
