December 17, 2008 > Board of Trustees swears in new members Board of Trustees swears in new members Submitted By Val Joyner The Hayward Unified School District (HUSD) welcomed three newly elected board members: Ms. Maribel Heredia, Ms. Sheila Sims, and Mr. Luis Reynoso, and one incumbent Dr. Sarah Gonzales on Wednesday, December 10. The HUSD Board of Trustees plays an integral role in ensuring academic excellence at HUSD. They are responsible for establishing and implementing policies and initiatives that govern the district's operations and programs. Under their leadership, HUSD will proudly continue to build a culture of success and excellence.
