Long time Milpitas resident Paul R. Hay was one of those that O'Connell thanked. "Paul Hay of Milpitas (Santa Clara County) is superintendent of the Metropolitan Education District. He offers unending support for career technical education that offers relevant skills about the real-world, alternative training, and educational opportunities for students" said O'Connell in a press release.
