November 5, 2008 > Celebrate the holidays with art Celebrate the holidays with art Jan's Art Studios will be celebrating the holiday season during the month of November by showing their current works at Mission Coffees & More. Jan's Art Studios was originated by Jan Schafir in 1996 as a working studio for herself and four other artists. In addition to Jan Schafir, they are Therese Ely, Ann-Marie Haley, Dimtry Grudsky, and Ron Newcomb. Each artist rents their "own" space from Jan. There is one common space in the front of the studio where consultations with other artists at various stages of painting can be helped by more mature members of the staff. The five artists work together to have shows throughout the year at the studio as well as other locations.
