Multicultural Festiv'ALL

By Meenu Gupta

Business owners, prospective business owners, economic development professionals and business service providers will gather by the hundreds on Thursday, October 30 to extend their network. Celebrating the region's diversity and making an effort for unity, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Silicon Valley, presents one of Silicon Valley's most celebrated business diversity event. Festiv'ALL is an excellent opportunity to meet, greet and exchange information. "This is a genuine attempt to celebrate diversity, bring the business community together and build a bridge between different cultures in one place," said Dennis King, Executive director of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Silicon Valley.

This multi-cultural event is a collaboration of the region's leading diverse business and professional organizations. "I have been the organizer for the last 2 years. The response has been extremely positive, more than 29 business and professional associations participated last year," said King. In addition to the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Silicon Valley, others include the Milpitas Chamber of Commerce, Silicon Valley Black Chamber of Commerce, Chinese American Chamber of Commerce, Filipino American Chamber of Commerce, Indo American Chamber of Commerce, Korean American Chamber of Commerce, Mandarin Business Association, Rainbow Chamber of Commerce, Taiwanese American Chamber of Commerce and the Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce. The event will also feature multicultural food and entertainment. Enjoy prizes and food stations featuring international cuisines. "Over a dozen restaurants will provide samples of their diverse cuisine," said King.
This year, San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed will rededicate BusinessOwnerSpace.com (BOS) at Festiv'ALL and also launch BOS's Spanish and Vietnamese versions. "We encourage people to pre-register with their respective organizations," added Dennis. If you are a local entrepreneur who has a business here or are actively considering starting one here, you are encouraged to take advantage of BOS and the business support services you need to be successful.
