October 22, 2008 > Winners of fine art show Winners of fine art show Submitted By Lucinda Bender The Fremont Art Association's (FAA) 43rd Annual Fine Art Show was a great success thanks to the members and exhibitors who brought their works to be judged and shown. Over 80 artists and 150 pieces were shown in the final exhibit; many thanks to Jane Hofstetter, our juror. The reception was a wonderful opportunity for the over 200 guests to meet the artists and enjoy food and wine served along with the beautiful art. The FAA is pleased to announce and congratulate the following artists who received awards: Best of Show to Kwee Yu for her oil painting "Starting Young" ; Gold awards to Glenyse Henschel in Watercolor, Farshid Namei in Oil/Acrylic, Dmitry Grudsky in Graphics, Anastasia Kaverina in 3-Dimensional, Cooksey Talbott in Photography; Silver awards to David Savellano in Watercolor, Therese Ely in Oil/Acrylic, Dee Bueno in Graphics, Treasa Cervone in 3-Dimensional, and Gretchen Wilburn in Photography; Honorable Mentions to Deborah Matlack, Jan Schaffer, and Ann Schmidt in Watercolor, Kwee Yu and Elena Morris in Oil/Acrylic, Pat Wells and Tanya Sabatini in Graphics, Mary Bobik in 3-Dimensional, and Rosa Bazzani in Photography.
