October 1, 2008 > Fremont Blaze kick off the season with four wins Fremont Blaze kick off the season with four wins Submitted By Arman Chini Fremont Blaze, an under-14 House League has had a running start in the 2008 Fall Season. On a hot streak thus far, they have won all first four games of the Fall season. In their most recent game, played on Saturday September 20th they played a phenomenal game against the Galaxy. Both teams were strong and played highly competitive game. However, the game ended with a final score of 7 to 3 in favor of the Blaze. Joshua Lee scored three phenomenal goals. Not to be outdone, Angel Lopez, Kevin Wong, Thomas Bui and Clayton Mapelli each scored a magnificent goal. Douglas Terry, the goalie for the first half displayed an unbelievable save on a sure-thing penalty kick and Ryan Habibi, the goalie for second half managed to hold back several goal kicks. On the defense side, Andrew Yin, Nevan Murphy, Arman Chini , Brandon Kuang , Raul Puri, and Ankit Shah kept the Galaxy on their toes by keeping the ball off the Blaze side of field for the most part of the game. Thanks to the relentless efforts of team coach Pat Mapelli and Assistant coaches Santiago Lee and Nelson Fuentes as well as the continuous support from all the team parents, Blaze is off to a great season.
