Ralph Cooksey-Talbott will be holding classes in photography at the Fremont Art Association gallery in Niles. Cooksey has been working as a photographer since 1972 when he moved to California from Michigan. During the 1970's he studied in Yosemite under Ansel Adams. Cooksey also studied at the San Francisco Art Institute and the San Francisco Academy of Art. He has lectured in photography at local colleges and art studios.
Photography for Artists

Photography for Artists is a three workshop series on photography for painters, watercolorists, sculptors and jewelers. The first two classes cover copying flat art and photographing 3D art and jewelry using simple inexpensive equipment. The third class covers the Giclee printing process and how to use it to make high quality copies of your work.
Zone System Intensive
10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Learn to use the Zone System, an exposure and development method originated by Ansel Adams in this full day class. Learn to use a densitometer and graphs to determine the proper exposure and development levels for black and white negative film. While the film is being developed, learn to use both zone system based spot metering as well as incident light meters. If you are a photographer serious about getting exhibition grade results from film this class is for you.
