New Eagle Scout
Jonathan Schaak from Troop 186 in Newark is being awarded his Eagle Scout rank, Scouting's highest honor. He started scouting as a Tiger Cub in first grade and worked his way up the ranks, also becoming a member of the Order of the Arrow. For his Eagle Service Project he organized and led his fellow Scouts through the refurbishing of 100 fire hydrants for the Newark Fire Department. Scouting helped prepare him and paved the way for his future plans. He is currently enlisted in the US Navy's Delayed Entry Program and will begin his basic training in February.
He looks forward to being successful in the Advanced Electronic Technical Program while serving his country. |
