Celebrate Washington Hospital's 50th Anniversary at Upcoming Top Hat Gala

October Event will Feature Elegant Dining and Dazzling Live Entertainment

In honor of Washington Hospital's 50th anniversary, guests will be amazed and dazzled by the exquisite cuisine and live entertainment that will be featured at this year's Top Hat XXII. The gala will be held in a beautiful tent on the grounds of Washington West (Across the street from the main hospital), featuring an elegant reception and dinner presented by the famed McCall Associates of San Francisco. The menu, dˇcor, lighting-- all elements required for the WHHS celebration will be in hands of highly reputable event specialists. There is no doubt that on the evening of October 11th, the grand tent adjacent to Washington West will be the place to be in Fremont and our community will be witness to an extraordinarily impressive, one of a kind affair.

"This is the first time that the Top Hat event will be held on the grounds of Washington Hospital and we're looking forward to commemorating the Hospital's 50th Anniversary in grand fashion," says Brent Hodson, Executive Director of the Washington Hospital Healthcare Foundation. "Top Hat XXII promises to be one of the best in a long line of dinner-dances and I'd like to invite the entire community to join us. It's going to be the party of the year and the place to be on October 11."

A seasoned team of culinary experts and hospitality professionals from a well respected San Francisco catering company will make Top Hat XXII sparkle. With two decades of experience, Dan McCall and his company McCall Associates has catered everything from private banquets to royal events. When the Emperor of Japan came to town, McCall was called on to help coordinate a welcoming event. As the former director of catering for the St. Francis Hotel, McCall knows a thing or two about the event planning business and his catering company has been the premier caterer for elegant San Francisco events such as the Black and White Ball, the Gala Opening of the San Francisco Symphony and the Fine Arts Museum Annual Ball, just to name a few.

"We are excited to have McCall Associates cater the event this year," says Fran Stone, Top Hat event chair. "To add to the gourmet flair of the evening, Innovative Entertainment has arranged for both Broadway Performances and the Bill Hopkins Rock'n Orchestra-- two fantastic groups to perform."

McCall's chefs have manned the kitchens of top-notch restaurants from around the globe and the management staff works very closely with all employees, ensuring a unique dedication to excellence. These professionals are exceptionally detail-oriented-- the intangible qualities of refinement and superior taste will encompass every moment of Top Hat XXII.

An Evening of Top Notch Entertainment

Entertainment for the evening will start off with a dynamic ensemble of Broadway's best shows. The "Best of Broadway" live revue will present acts between dinner courses with a mix of current hits and legendary classics. Show-stopping songs from musicals such as Cabaret, Wicked, The Lion King, Mamma Mia, Chicago, Hairspray, and The Phantom of the Opera will be performed by a cast of nationally acclaimed performers.

Following dinner and the Broadway acts, The Bill Hopkins Rock'n Orchestra will take stage with a full band featuring bass, drums, guitar, keyboard, a horn section, percussionist, vocalists and dancers. Delivering Classic Rock, Salsa, Motown, Soul, and Dance hits, The Bill Hopkins Rock'n Orchestra has been described as "a complete party on stage."

Save the Date - October 11, 2008

Proceeds from Top Hat XXII will benefit the hospital's digital echocardiography program, a service that treats patients at risk from cardiac conditions. Digital echocardiography offers clear, real-time images of the human heart that can be transmitted throughout the healthcare system to speed diagnosis and treatment.
