Golf Tournament benefits Ohlone College Athletes
Fremont Bank and Ohlone College are joining forces on the golf course. Although it is rare for golfers to sink a hole-in-one on the course, they are all guaranteed an equally outstanding score as participants of the Fremont Bank and Ohlone College Golf Tournament. Winners are not only those who spend a pleasant day on the links, joined by non-golfers at an evening of entertainment, but the Ohlone College Athletics Department. Format is Four-person Scramble.
Proceeds from the tournament will go toward the Ohlone College Athletics Department to fund programs, scholarships, and equipment for all teams - from women's water polo to men's basketball team. Last year's tournament brought over $25,000 to support the students and athletes attending Ohlone College. Two $500 awards were also given to Ohlone College Athletics' male and female MVP'S for their tremendous performance, to be used toward continuing their education. This year's goal is to raise over $36,000.
Major sponsors include Fremont Bank, Greenstein, Rogoff, Olsen & Co., The Law Offices of Bruce Charles Funk and Ohlone College Foundation.
