Getting ready for Election Day
November 4th, Election Day, is right around the corner. Over the next eight weeks, Tri-City Voice will cover local political contests so readers can become familiar with candidates and ballot measures before entering the polls. Thirty-one races will be covered. Eight elective offices have already been decided since they are uncontested. The following are uncontested races:
City of Union City Mayor: Mark Green; City of Union City Councilmember: Jim Navarro; Newark Unified School District: Jan Crocker, Ray J. Rodriguez and Janice Schaefer; San Leandro Unified School District, Area 3 Extended: Carmen M. Sullivan; San Leandro Unified School District, Area 5 Extended: Diana Prola; Sunol Glen Unified School District, At Large: Neil J. Davies; Chabot-Las Positas Community College District, Trustee Area 3: Arnulfo Cedillo; Ohlone Community College District, Trustee Area 1, Seat 3: Gary Nicholas Nardolillo.
